"Our very business in life is not to get ahead of others ... but to get ahead of ourselves" - Thomas S. Monson

What this quote means to me is that our goal in life, is not to get ahead of others, not to finish first, not to have a better job, but to surpass ourselves. To be better than we were yesterday, to be the best we could ever be.

"True wealth is of the heart, not of the purse."- Og Mandino

What this quote means to me is that true wealth comes from our hearts, not from our wallets. For example, a person who is kind, CTR, and that is honest is a person with a good heart, which is also a person with true wealth. You can have all the money in the world, but if you lie, steal, etc, you don't have True Wealth.

"Real wealth is not so much what we have as what we are" - Sterling W. Sill

What this quote means to me is that wealth doesn't always have to be known as what's in your pocket, but as to what's in your heart. Wealth isn't just about bragging about how much money you have in the bank, it's also what you are as an individual in society.

“Decisions determine destiny.” – Thomas S. Monson

What this quote means to me is that, the decisions we choose to make in our lives end up determining our future/destiny.  So if one chooses to do badly in school, it could be that in the future, they may not have a good job. On the other hand, if one chooses to do well, they are guaranteed a better job than those who made bad decisions. Our future is up to us, as individuals, we all determine OUR own individual future.
